    CRM 6.2

    Hello

I am a completely new user of CRM and have just installed it and looked at the basic features. We used to run Contact Master but this is no longer supported by Accpac. I want to import our customer base from Contact Master and have tried a trial list of a few contacts. All seems to be ok.  Now I want to clean up the CRM database and remove these along with hundreds of sample data contacts and leads that seem to be in the data base. I cant see any where that I can delete a mass list of contacts or leads at any one time. I see that there are about 1200 on the list so it is not practical to delete them one at a time.

We also have databases of clients lists that we purchase from time to time so I will need to be able to import them and then delete them again when the list is updated as this is the easiest way to manage updates

Can anyone help with where you get to delete contacts? I have looked extensively at help lists, Manuals and the knowledge base with no luck.

Mass deletions are done with SQL queries.  Or with MSAccess joined to the CRM database.  You can either truly delete the rows, or set the record's Deleted field to non-null.

Importing is built in, check the manuals.

Thanks Jay. I have used MS Access to edit the contact master data so I know it. Can you give me the table names to edit or where can I get more information on how to do some of these tasks?

Companies are in Company.   People are in Person.  Addresses are in Address
