Canadian EFT Direct Payroll 5.5 - EFT Combine Feature

We are looking to utilize the "Combine EFT Files" feature for three of our companies within Accpac. All three bank at the same bank, each with their own bank account. When the "Administrating" Accpac company goes to add the third Accpac company into its "EFT Combine" setup we obtain the following errors:

Bank. Unknown database error (operation=, error=49154).
Error occurred when opening view CP0200
View 'CP0200' is not a valid View ID
Error occurred when activating Sage Accpac Data Source.

Has anyone else had this error?  It seems to occur only when more than two companies are part of the EFT Combine setup.  We can get this to work with any combination of two companies but get the above error when adding the third.  We are using MSSql Express 2005, could this be the issue?  I.E. we need MSSql Standard 2005 or higher.

Nothing in the literature, help screens, manuals, Accpac forums, Accpac knowledge base provides any answers to this question.  Anyone have an answer to this or can provide insight?

    Thanks

We use the combine function, but run all paymemnts from the same bank account and run the payments through intercompanies.  This way we save on bank fees.  Have you considered this?

We were attempting to avoid this as it would add to the reconciliation load, both in reconciling the bank account and the various intercompany accounts, for our small accounting department.  For us it would not save on bank fees as our bank does not charge additional fees for additional bank accounts being debited by an EFT upload, hence why we want to utilize the EFT combine files feature in order to only upload one file.

Do all of these companies have Payroll and Payroll taxes activated?

Do all the computer you are using have payroll and payroll taxes installed?

     Yes to both those questions.

Bottomline is that Accpac is not capable of combining EFT files if the files are for more than one bank account, period.  As long as the EFT files are being credited to the same bank transit and account number the combine feature works.

I've had to do a work around through the bank to accomplish what we want but it means we are uploading more than one file to the bank and they are doing the combining for us.

I see what you mean. In this case, make sure to submit an IdeaScope entry regarding the feature and hopefully Accpac EFT is capable of doing this later on.
