IC -Assemblies -Error -Insufficient Disk Space

Received error while attempting to post assemblies.  So I then attempted to 'delete' transaction history to free up some space.  During that process, received error -Receipt Header -Insufficient disk space.    Any other thoughts to get rid of some data???  Thanks -CJ

Timeout, cowboy, you have a more serious problem.  You need a bigger hard drive.  And your database might be corrupt.  Stop processing immediately, run a full data integrity check, and be prepared to restore from last night's backup.

Thanks for your suggestions - at the same time you replied our IT tech determined the server that ACCPAC resides on is 'FULL'.  We will have to allocate more disk space.

If you're on MSSQL, I'll bet you the IT department has the recovery model set to "Full", and the SQL log file is gigantic.  Tell them to set it to "Simple", shrink the log, and you won't have to worry about it anymore.

Re: IC -Assemblies -Error -Insufficient Disk Space

Hi Jay -We resolved the disk space problem. However, the company that we encountered the insufficient errors with is now experiencing 'Database error (oper=INSERT, error=2)' Posting failed ......We have restarted and I have run the data integrity and got DB error (oper=REV-FETCH, error=0) and Internal error for Orders and Order details.  Does this mean -restore from back up is necessary????    Just as info, the other two companies in our system seem to be fine, it's only this one that we had the original problem with. Thanks -CJ

Yep, I hopy you have good backups.  There's nothing worse for a database then the hard drive filling up.  Your IT guys need to be smacked.  Hard.
