The Beta Program provides you with an opportunity to learn about the new features of the upcoming release in advance and gives you a voice to influence the future development of Sage ERP Accpac. Your participation in this program is vital to improving the quality of your product. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity.

1.)  What do I get out of this program?

  • An opportunity to access and evaluate the latest product and enhancements prior to general availability, which helps beta participants gain a competitive edge.
  • "Hands-on" knowledge of the new product.
  • An opportunity to provide "early user feedback", which may shape the way the product is enhanced prior to release.

2.) What does Sage ERP Accpac 6.0 expect from a beta tester?

  • Use the beta product in a realistic environment (but for testing purposes only).
  • Have the required hardware/software environment.
  • Install the beta product upon receipt.
  • Test according to the beta test plan supplied.
  • Provide timely feedback.
  • Participate in regular Webcast information sessions.
  • Complete an exit survey.

3.) What can I expect from Sage?

  • A test plan to use as a guideline to test the beta product.
  • Overview of the new functionality through Webcast.
  • Support for the beta product (Beta community forum monitored by Support).
  • Product enhancement requests to be reviewed for consideration in future releases.

4.) What if I run into problems while testing the beta release?

Sage ERP Accpac would appreciate hearing about all areas of concern or problems you might run into while testing the beta version. You can do this by posting your issue on the Community forum, created specifically for Beta testers, or sending an email to beta.accpac@sage.com. Both methods will be monitored by the Sage ERP Accpac ERP Support team. Reported problems will be sent to development for prioritization, and feedback on new features will be reviewed by our Product Management team.

We encourage you to report any problems or suggestions through the Beta Forum for the fastest response time.

5.) Do I need to sign any agreements?

Yes. Applicants are asked to agree to a confidentiality provision as part of the application process. Once selected, participants must agree to the beta product’s End User License Agreement (EULA) before installing the software.

6.) What will I be testing?

We ask participants to test the beta product and provide feedback in several areas including:

  • Installation
  • Functionality
  • Usability
  • Configuration
  • Quality

Participants will be provided a test plan to follow. However, we require our beta testers to perform user-defined testing designed to assess their specific needs.

7.) How long is the beta program?

The program runs during the summer of 2010 for 4-6 weeks. Updated beta cycles may be added depending on feedback from participants.
